Introduction
The Rolex Sky-Dweller (also known as the "The Voyager" in Chinese markets) is one of the most complicated watches in Rolex’s lineup, featuring an annual calendar (Saros system), dual time zones (GMT), and the innovative Ring Command bezel for function selection. Given its complexity, replicating this watch accurately has been a challenge for many factories. However, NOOB Factory has stepped up with their latest Sky-Dweller replica, claiming near-perfect functionality.
Today, I’ll be reviewing the NOOB Sky-Dweller (Ref. m326934-0001), comparing it to the genuine model and evaluating its build quality, movement, and overall accuracy.

First Impressions & Build Quality
Case & Bezel

  • The 42mm Oyster case is crafted from 904L stainless steel, matching Rolex’s premium material choice.
  • The triangular fluted bezel (Ring Command system) is fully functional, allowing users to switch between adjusting the date, local time, and GMT time by rotating it (though the mechanism differs slightly from the gen).
  • The crown guards and case finishing are impressively close to the original, with sharp edges and a polished/brushed mix.

Dial & Legibility
  • The sunburst white dial (similar to the gen Ref. M336934-0002) has excellent color shifting under light.
  • The month indicator windows (12 small apertures around the dial) work correctly, with the current month highlighted in red.
  • The GMT subdial at 6 o’clock is functional, though the movement operates differently from Rolex’s Cal. 9001/9002.
  • The Cyclops lens over the date is well-aligned with minimal distortion.

Bracelet & Clasp
  • The Oyster bracelet features solid links and a Glidelock extension system, matching the genuine model’s adjustability.
  • The clasp engraving is deep and crisp, though the spring mechanism feels slightly less refined than the original.

Movement & Functionality
NOOB’s Modified 9001 Clone Movement

  • Unlike the genuine Rolex Cal. 9001 (or the newer 9002), NOOB’s version is a modified Asian GMT movement that mimics the functions but with a different mechanism.
  • Key differences:
  • The month is adjusted manually via the bezel (genuine Rolex auto-adjusts).
  • The GMT subdial is controlled by the crown (not fully synced with the hour hand like the gen).
  • Power reserve is ~40 hours (vs. 72 hours on the gen).

How to Set the Watch
  1. Adjusting the Month: Rotate the bezel to Position 1, then turn the crown.
  2. Setting the Date: Pull the crown to the first position and rotate.
  3. Local Time Adjustment: Bezel in Position 2, adjust via crown.
  4. GMT Time Adjustment: Bezel in Position 3, adjust via crown.
Note: The gen uses a more advanced "Ring Command" system where the bezel directly interacts with the movement. NOOB’s version is simplified but still functional.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros:
  • Excellent case & dial replication (90%+ similarity to gen).
  • Functional GMT & annual calendar (though not identical to gen).
  • 904L steel construction (same as Rolex).
  • Good bracelet & clasp finish.
❌ Cons:
  • Movement is not a true 9001 clone (month adjustment is manual).
  • GMT function is simplified (subdial doesn’t sync perfectly).
  • Thicker than gen (14.1mm vs. 13.8mm).
Final Verdict – Is It Worth It?
The NOOB Sky-Dweller is one of the best Sky-Dweller replicas available, offering 90% of the genuine watch’s aesthetics with 80% of its functionality. While the movement isn’t a perfect clone, it’s still an impressive achievement given the complexity of the original.

Who should buy this?
  • Collectors who want a high-end Rolex rep with unique complications.
  • Travelers who need a GMT watch but don’t want to spend $15K+ on a gen.
  • Fans of complex Rolex models who enjoy tinkering with watch functions.
Who should avoid it?
  • Purists who demand 1:1 movement replication.
  • Those who prefer thinner watches (the rep is slightly bulkier).
Price: ~$500-$800 (depending on the dealer).

Rating: 8.5/10
(A fantastic rep for the price, but not a perfect clone.)
